And best wishes for your Year of the Fire Rooster.Wyld Oakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07724169384339460086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1916523607533787507.post-85091852362699194712017-01-02T00:42:37.974-06:002017-01-02T00:42:37.974-06:00I didn't know you read my favourite author, Ge...I didn't know you read my favourite author, George MacDonald! This Grandmother/ Goddess character appears in most of MacDonald's fantasy fiction, such as The Golden Key, The Wise Woman, and At the Back of the North Wind.
Have I got something for you: an unintended gift: a few days before I left your city, I visited my friend who orders all the books at the main branch Minneapolis Library. I asked him to order a number of obscure books, including all the Eerdmanns editions of George MacDonalds fairy tales. I looked about a month or two ago: they have 3 of the 4 I asked for and the 4th was on backorder. I hope you take them out sometime: the illustrations are equally lovely as the amazing one's you show here.
Best wishes for the coming year, the year of the Rooster: my year. The fire rooster this time. I am ready.
-ReifynReifynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14346573496969586088noreply@blogger.com
